Myrle’s Obituary Myrle V. (Widler) Alderson 96, died July 11, 2019 at Clay County Medical Center. She was born August 19, 1922 on the family farm near Enterprise Kansas to John and Veda (Biehler) Widler. She grew up as a typical farm girl; milking cows, gathering eggs, and helping preserve vegetables and fruits for the winter. She loved school, reading, singing, running barefoot and swimming in the creek in the summer. Myrle lived and attended school in the Enterprise community until she was 15 when the family moved to a farm near Oakhill. Myrle graduated from Longford High School with the class of 1940. After graduation she married Lyle E Alderson on June 22, 1940. Together they had 3 sons. Loren, Larry, and John. Myrle and Lyle lived and farmed in the Oakhill community their entire married life. Myrle was an active community volunteer; teaching Sunday School, coaching softball teams, and singing duets with Lyle at churches and other community functions. Lyle died June 11, 1990 just 11 days before their 50th anniversary. Myrle is survived by her sons Loren (Rose) of Nickerson and John (Wanda) of Oakhill, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle, her son Larry, and his wife Shirley, as well as 2 sisters; Evelyn Lahar and Myrle’s infant sister Eileen May Widler.
