Mona June Watts of Stratford, Oklahoma was born March 4, 1928 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Charlie and Irene Smith. She passed away at her son’s home south of Stratford at the age of 91 years 4 months and 21 days. She grew up in Stratford and graduated from Stratford high. She received her Bacholer’s degree. She worked as a dietitian, was the oldest member of the O.D.A. ( Oklahoma Dietitian Association). She was married to Joel Watts in Stratford in 1948. They lived in Odessa, Texas 13 years, then to Wyoming, before moving back to Stratford in 1991. She and Joel raised 6 boys along with many other children that came to their home. She loved her church and was a member of the Stratford United Methodist Church where she was active up until just a few months ago. Also loved being with the grandkids going to amusement parks riding rides, gardening, cooking, and china painting. Preceded by; husband Joel, her parents, Charlie and Irene Smith, and one son Keith Allen Watts. Survived by; 5 sons; Charles Watts & wife Karen of Refugio, Texas Arnold Watts & wife Linda of Stratford, OK; Brad Watts & wife Babett of Wyoming, Kerry Don Watts of Stratford, OK and Chris Watts of Byars, OK. one sister; Margreat Washman of Pauls Valley, OK.; one brother; Ed Smith of Moore, OK. ;8 grandchildren; Trea , Tiana , Hunter, Josh, Christopher, Dakota, Heather Watts, and Tyler Coates. 1 great-grandchild Lexie Schnepps. Services; 10:00 AM Tuesday July 30, 2019 at Stratford United Methodist Church. Officiating; Rev. Don Venable and Rev. Lewis Perry. Burial McGee cemetery.
