Mona Florence Lawrence August 06, 1931 – July 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Mona Florence Bagby Lawrence age 87 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Logan County, Kentucky on August 6, 1931 to the late Arthur Ewing and Zelma Kemp Bagby. Mona was a Floral Designer and a member of the Second Baptist Church. She loved cooking, flowers, word search puzzles and Kentucky Basketball. She is preceded in death by by a daughter, Jeanne Lou Lawrence, a granddaughter Stacy Erin Jenkins and her brother Dickie Bagby. Mona is survived by her: Three daughters; Sue Carol Jenkins (Rick) of Columbia, Tennessee, Marilyn Stokes and Jill Lawrence both of Russellville, one sister Bobbie Jean Sydnor of Lakeland, Tennessee, 3 grandchildren Amy Drane (Chuck) Bowling Green, Kentucky, Julie Wolaver (John) Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and Byron Flowers (Allyson) Springfield, Tennessee and 5 great grandchildren Evan Wolaver, Ani Drane, Adelyn Drane, Anne Lindsey Wolaver and Bradley Flowers and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mona Lawrence will be conducted Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Bro. Abe Bagby, Rick Jenkins (son-in-law) and Amy Drane (granddaughter) officiating and burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
