Modena “Dena”‘s Obituary MODENA “DENA” LEE JARVIS, 61, of Odell Park in Groveton, died peacefully on July 1, 2019, after a very courageous battle with cancer, at The Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield. Dena was born on September 5, 1957, in Lancaster, NH the daughter of Elmer D. and Marguerite (Stevens) Jarvis. She was a graduate of Groveton High School and attended White Mountain Community College for two years. Dena worked as a dispatcher and receptionist at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster for eighteen years before retiring due to her health. She was an avid NASCAR and New England Patriots fan and enjoyed reading. Dena is survived by her four siblings Steven Jarvis of Groveton; Brenda Jarvis of Florida; Richard Jarvis of Manchester, NH; and Kenneth Jarvis of St. Johnsbury, VT; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Dena was predeceased by her parents Elmer and Marguerite Jarvis. At Dena’s request, there will be no services. Dena’s cremains will be buried in the Emerson Road Cemetery in Stark, NH at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
