Milena’s Obituary East Berne (Albany County): Milena Maselli Levak 81, of Cole Hill Road, Town of Berne, NY passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at St. Peter’s Hospital from heart complications. Milena was born January 22, 1938 in Acquaviva delle Fonti, Italy, a daughter of Attilio and Anna Maria Giorgio. She was educated in Italy graduating from La Quiete in Florence, Italy. She received her Masters degrees from the University of Florence and later from Miami University in Ohio. She retired as Dean of International Students from MIT in Cambridge, MA in 2000. Previously she had been the Foreign Student Advisor at RPI in Troy, NY. She and her husband moved to the Berne area after their retirement and settled down on Cole Hill Road where she enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and writing her memoirs. Survivors include her husband, Zarko Levak whom she married on August 26, 1963; her daughter, Anna Dee Levak of Manhattan; her granddaughter, Lila; and her brother, Giorgio Maselli of Italy. She was predeceased by her brother, Franco Maselli. Calling hours will be held from 1PM to 2PM on Tuesday, July 16th at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main Street Schoharie followed by a prayer service. Interment will be held privately. Read More
