Mildred Evelyn (Hallaway) Mata, 84, born September 29, 1934, passed away in Anderson on June 30, 2019. Mildred was born in West Baden, and spent her adult years in Anderson. She retired from Guide Lamp. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Lois Hallaway; siblings, Maxine Watson, Lester Hallaway; husbands, Beacher Key, Gilbert Mata; son Gary Key; and her grandson, Jeffery Smith Jr. Mildred is survived by her sister, Shirley Thornton; children, Tony (Jennifer) Key of LaPorte, Jeanette (Mark) Saicheck of Pendleton; seven grandchildren, Nicole Key, Megan (Chip) Diffendapper, RT McIntyre, Jessica (Paul) Shreve, Jonathan (Julie) Smith, Chris (Nicole) Saicheck, Kevin (Rebeca) Saicheck; and four great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life for Mildred on July 6, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the funeral to follow at 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory 200 West 53rd St. Anderson.
