Miguel Lopez, 78, formerly of Queens, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday July 19, 2019 at his home in Melbourne. He is survived by his children, Jenette and her husband Scott Nunes, Raphael and his wife Amanda Lopez, and Joni and her husband Erick Lu, along with his ex-wife Irene Lopez. He is survived by his grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Matthew and Ethan Nunes, Chase and Colton Lopez, Sophie Begin-Lopez, and Leia Lu. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jose and Lucho Lopez, and his sisters Beatrice and Amalia Lopez. His surviving siblings are Roberto, Alvaro, Rosario and Lalo Lopez. Miguel worked at a phosphate plant in Tarpon springs for 20 years, and as a doorman in New York City for 17 years. He was a hard working man who gave everything he could to his family. Funeral Mass will be held at St.John the Evangelist at 11 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2019. Contributions in his memory may be made to the IPF foundation.
