Michael “Mike” David Duke October 05, 1955 – July 01, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Mike Duke of Brinkley, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, in Little Rock, Arkansas, after a brief illness. The son of David and Jean Kinkade Duke was born October 5, 1955, in Helena, Arkansas. Mike graduated from Brinkley High School in 1974; Mike attended the University ofArkansas in Fayetteville and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was the third generation owner/operator of Duke’s Vending. The last few years he was employed with AR Care Fitness in Brinkley. Mike enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid golfer, a true Razorback Fan and a friend to all no matter age, race, or social status. Mike was the “go to guy” for stats and sports trivia. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Farris Duke, sons, Daniel (Faith) Duke of Stuttgart, Christian Duke of Kansas City, KS, and daughter, Anna Kate Duke, of the home and one granddaughter, Graycen Duke. Other survivors include his brother, Ricky Duke of Brinkley, sister, Jan (Paul) Parnell of Camden, mother-in-law, Rita Garling Farris of Biscoe, and brother-in-law, Russell Bonner of Brinkley, along with a host of family and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Roger Farris, and sisterin-law, Julie Farris Bonner. Pallbearers are Russ Parker, Carl Frein, Scott Bryan, Daniel Boone, Steve Meachem, Gerald Jackson, and Ricky Patrick. Service and Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at The First Baptist Church of Brinkley. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. No interment.
