Michael’s Obituary Lafayette: Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 10:30AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mr. Michael Jean-Batiste who passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019. Michael Jean-Batiste was born December 10, 1958 in Lafayette, LA to Verline Jean-Batiste. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving partner, Lolly and five daughters; Andrea Kelly, Rachel Kelly (Chris), Dashauna Kelly, Sherylliner Andrus, Carolliner Andrus and 18 grandchildren. He is survived by his mother, Verline Jean-Batiste, four sisters, Wanda Jean-Batiste, Mandolia Jean-Batiste, Kim Benjamin (Chris) and Melissa Dixon (Clarence) and three brothers, Alroy Jean-Batiste (Tandra), Blake Jean-Batiste (Stephanie) and Gerard Jean-Batiste (Shannon) and a host of nieces and nephews. Michael was a loving and devoted partner, father and grandfather. He was loved by everyone he met and had a smile that would light up any room. He was a hard worker and took pride in caring for his family. Michael never met a stranger and he enjoyed sitting around with his family playing dominos. Michael was highly innovative and had the ability to repair and assemble just about anything you could imagine. He was gifted.
