Michael David Middleton, 55, of Middletown, passed away suddenly from an unforeseen medical condition on July 25, 2019, at his residence. He was born on November 3, 1963, in Lee County, Virginia, and resided most of his life in Middletown. Mike graduated from Madison Heights High School . He proudly served his country for nine years in the United States Marine Corps serving in Desert Storm and several WESTPAC tours as an artillery mechanic. Mike was working as a maintenance technician for Borg-Warner. He was a member of the Marine Corps League of Anderson. Mike was also very involved with Toys for Tots. One of his greatest honors was to serve underprivileged children through the Toys for Tots program. Mike is survived by his loving wife whom he married January 11, 1986, Beth (Marshall) Middleton; daughter, Brittanie Middleton; son, JD Middleton, (partner Nathan Height); exchange daughter from Norway, Eliann (Bjarne) Mannes; special dog, Hidie; sister, Donna (Mike) Turner; brother, Maynard Middleton; mother, Phyllis Middleton; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Owens (Fiance’ Mike Benefiel); brother-in-law, Paul (Sheli) Marshall; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Maynard Middleton; father-in-law, JB Marshall; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Marshall; cousin, Dale Stewart; Lou from the Mechanicsburg General Store. Many knew Mike from his frequent stops at the local Rickers to pick up his daily coffee and lottery ticket. Helping others was Mike’s gift, never afraid of jumping in with his time and tools to serve others in need. Another hobby he enjoyed was playing pool for quarters. He was a true friend to many, including his dear fishing and camping buddies, Melvin and Tina Stotts. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, IN 46013. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Miller Cemetery, Middletown.
