Melinda W. Bowman, 75, of Brier Hill, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. She was born December 23, 1943 in Akron, OH, the daughter of Melville Ames Wardell and Mary Gorgas Wardell. Both of which preceded her in death. Melinda graduated from Buchtel High School in 1961 and then went on to Denison University where she graduated in 1964. She was a self-employed artist. She belonged to Fort Burd Presbyterian Church in Brownsville. Melinda loved her time in Duck, NC on the Outerbanks. She will be sadly missed by her husband W. Scott Bowman, Brier Hill, PA; three children, Ames B. Shea, Avon, CT, John W. Bowman, Atlanta, GA and Matthew Bowman, Moon Twp, PA; brother Geoff Wardell, Naples, FL, four grandchildren and three nieces and nephews. Services were private for the family.
