Melba’s Obituary Melba M. Hughes Mrs. Melba M. Hughes, age 88, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2019. Mrs. Hughes was born February 3, 1931, in Fouke, Arkansas, and had been a lifetime resident of Miller County, Arkansas. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a retired Administrative Clerk from Wadley Regional Medical Center and Christus St. Michael Health Center. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Ethridge. Survivors include one son, Ron Ethridge of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, two daughters, Debra Sanderson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Katherine Carnathan of Texarkana, Arkansas, one brother, Ray Odum of Fouke, Arkansas, five grandchildren, Phil Chaney, Jeri Chaney, Shannon Hamby, Crystal Ethridge, and Jennifer Crowell, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her special family, Tommy, Rebecca, Taylor, and Lauren Potter. A Celebration of her life will be at 4:00 P. M. Monday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
