Mary Jane Overbey was born on July 26, 1949, in Hohenwald, Tennessee and passed away on July 16, 2019, in Columbia, Tennessee. She was 69 years, 11 months, and 21 days old. She was the daughter of the late Jerome Frank Overbey and Ruby Jeanette McClearen Overbey. She was also preceded in death by her Brothers Jerry (Juanita) Overbey and Johnny Overbey and sister Wilma Overbey. She is survived by her nieces Chana and Daphne. Cousins Juanita Taylor, Sue (Homer) Nash, and Ronnie Overbey. Special friends Ray and Frances Campbell, and Denise Dicus. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones. Miss Overbey worked as a teller at the First National Bank. She enjoyed reading, music of all kinds, and nature. She loved living on her farm in Beaverdam, just living a simple life. Jane loved animals, both the cats that were her pets and the animals that lived on her farm. She wouldn’t even squash a spider. She was always happy and always smiling. Even when she was sick you would see a smile on her face and never hear a complaint. She will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.
