Marilyn’s Obituary Marilyn Francis Cullen, 89, of Denver, NC passed away on July 29, 2019. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 20, 1929 to the late Richard W. Phillips and Florence Campbell Phillips. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Robert Groner and Raymond J. Cullen; son, Louis Robert Groner,II; sister, Grace Elizabeth McGarvey; and brother, Paul Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Massey; daughter, Sunday Jane Pergola (Joseph); daughter, Margie F. Boles; son, Edward R. Groner; daughter-in-law, Christine Gillen Groner; grandchildren, Joseph, Timmy, Crystal, Dennis, Holly, Louis, III, Daniel, George, Sunday, Renee, Jessica, Philip; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Corrina, Joseph, Blake A., Sadie, Reilly. She is also survived by her sisters, Claudia Leszewski (John), Joan Ann Phillips; and brother, Lawrence Phillips (Veronica). Marilyn was a secretary for DelBahia Yacht Club, and enjoyed Swedish embroidering, but above all she loved being a wife and mother. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 2, 20196 in the chapel at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. Memorial Donations may be made to Novant Hospice of or a charity of donor’s choice.
