Marcia L. Armstrong, 70, of Kokomo, passed away at 3:00 am at her home in Kokomo. She was born February 27, 1949 in Seymour, Indiana to Oral and Dorothy Henderson. She first married Michael Shade in 1967, they later divorced and she married Dan Armstrong. Marcia worked for the Energy Company Day Care Center for over 20 years. She was a graduate of Seymour High School and enjoyed her flowers and gardening. Surviving family include her husband, Dan Armstrong, Kokomo; her children, Anna C. King, Galveston; Elizabeth A. Bright, Kokomo; and Thomas A. Shade, Russiaville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jordan, Ashleigh, Felix, Audrey, Gracie, Norah and Micky and her beloved dog Mattie who she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. A celebration of her life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Visitation will be held from 3 – 5 pm prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Kokomo Humane Society in Marcia’s honor.
