Madolyn Arlene Taglialatela, age 97 of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Wells Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 26, 1921 in Johnstown to Frederick and Cordelia Steenburgh Hyde. She married William A. Taglialatela on March 11, 1942. William passed way on May 21, 2004. Madolyn graduated from Johnstown Schools. She spent a short time working in the glove shops and then assisted her husband and son Jack in their business, Tag’s Antiques. She had a huge heart and loved her family dearly. Madolyn is survived by three sons Jack (Mary) Taglialatela, William (Helen) Taglialatela and Edward Taglialatela. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as many other family members. In addition to her husband and parents, Madolyn was predeceased by her siblings, her infant son Timothy and many others. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, July 19 to the service from 12:00 P.M. (Noon) until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
