Lukas David Lough, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Dallas. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Redeemer Christian Church in Amarillo with Pastor Jacob Cates officiating. Burial will follow in Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Lukas David Lough was born in Amarillo on January 30, 2019 to David and Ann Callahan Lough. After 5 ½ weeks in the NICU, Lukas was released and was able to spend some precious time at home. He then was sent to Cook Children’s Hospital for cataract surgery, where he went into heart failure. Lukas spent the remainder of his time at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas where he underwent multiple surgeries and procedures, including a heart transplant. He was a fierce fighter and the family was amazed at how he continued to pull through. He was loved and adored by his family and will always be remembered for his brave spirit. Survivors include his parents, David and Ann Lough; a brother, James; grandparents, David and Theresa Callahan and David and Lynette Lough; great grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
