Luella E Wick 2019

2019
Obituary of Luella E. Wick Luella was one of the most caring selfless women you could ever meet! She spent her life trying to feed everyone and took care of anyone who was alone and needed help. She was a social butterfly and she loved to go to parties and spend time with friends to share laughs and stories. Luella loved cosmetology and hairstyling, so much that she opened her own hair salon. Soon after, one of Luella’s customers had a son, Samuel, who had just returned from World War II and needed a date for a New Year’s Eve Ball. The people pleaser she was, Luella agreed to attend with him. Little did she realize she had been set up with the love of her life. Just a couple years later in August of 1947, Luella and Sam were married. They spent more than 50 years together. Our grandmother (the matchmaker) always said she knew they were meant for each other. You could always find Luella playing Bingo at the Post on the weekends or inviting friends over to play cards and pinochle. Her creative and artistic talents were evident when you saw her crafting, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She was always working on a project and then happily gifting it to someone. Luella loved to stay busy, whether it was out with her friends, shopping or spending time with her family or at home. She adored her grandchildren and was forever spoiling them. She was a lifelong animal lover; her home always had a dog or two running around. Most recently, she had a cockapoo named Tyler who was the love of her life. Luella will be remembered by many for her sweetness and silliness. Please take a bingo card to remember Luella’s vibrant personality, and how her love will always be the winning card in your heart.
