Lorraine Tomaszewski, age 89, of Flat Rock, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Applewood Nursing Center in Woodhaven, Michigan. Born on August 27, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Manuel and Anna (Dymkowski) Grima. On July 23, 1949 she married Stephen Tomaszewski in Detroit, MI. She was employed with General Motors Co. as a Final Checker until retiring in 1984. Lorraine was a member of UAW Local 174. She enjoyed playing cards, cross word puzzles, traveling up north and spending time with her grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David Tomaszewski, daughter Victoria Zazucki, brother Richard Grima and sister Dolores Kenworthy. She is survived by her sons Carl Tomaszewski of Flat Rock, Stephen (Sheryl) Tomaszewski of Commerce Township and Ronald (Donna) Tomaszewski of Flat Rock; daughters Lisa Tomaszewski of Flat Rock and Ann (Chene) and sister Connie Kurnick; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. Roch Catholic Church on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 10:00 am. She will lie instate from 9:30 am until time of service. Father Ray Lewandowski will officiate the service. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township, Michigan.
