Loretta’s Obituary Loretta M. Vance, 94 years, of Fremont, Nebraska passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at her home. She was born November 15, 1924 in Tecumseh, NE to Hubert and Mae (Craney) Morrissey. She grew up in Tecumseh and graduated from Tecumseh High School. Loretta married Richard Vance on May 1, 1943 in Fremont. Richard preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 2008. She was employed at Mead Ordinance Plant, Northwestern Bell Telephone and Pacific Bell. She worked for St. Patrick & Bergan School lunch programs for over 30 years. Loretta retired in 1988. Loretta was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont, NE and she enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and having family over for company. She is survived by daughters, Patricia Hendrix and Sherry Thompson both of Fremont, NE; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, David and John ; brothers, Harland and Norman; sister; Nora Marie Schmid; sons-in-law, Harland Thompson and Mike Hendrix; 2 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Funeral Mass 10 A.M., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
