Linda Louise Prevo, 72, of Ottumwa, Iowa and former resident of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on July 27, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa. She was born November 2, 1946 in Davis County, Iowa to John and Lorraine Helmick Lough. She married Jack Prevo on December 19, 1965 at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church. The couple celebrated almost 50 years of marriage before Jack passed on February 16, 2015. Linda graduated from Davis County High School in 1964. She worked several jobs in Bloomfield before starting as a teacher’s aide for Davis County Elementary. She worked for Davis County Schools for over 20 years, retiring in 2004. Linda enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with her family. Jack and Linda loved playing music together over the years, often times playing at area churches and nursing homes. Their music ministry was cherished by them both. Linda attended church in West Grove, Bloomfield, and later Ottumwa. She is survived by a daughter, Deb (Steven) Frymoyer of Bloomfield; son, Brian (Lesa) Prevo of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, MacKenzie Gravett, Shelby Gravett, Jaden Prevo, Brock Prevo; four great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Cremer, Tayden, Triten, and Treyce Pilcher; brother, Ken (Maureen) Lough of Marion, Iowa; and two sisters-in-law, Vicki Lough of Bloomfield, and Judy Biderman of Coralville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Jim and Larry Lough. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Tim Frasher officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday with the family present to greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials have been established to Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa and Good Samaritan Society – Hospice.
