Pooleville – Graveside Services for Mr. Leonard “Junior” Dickerson, Jr., 88, formerly of Pooleville are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Pooleville Cemetery with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City. Junior was born January 13, 1931 at Pooleville to the late Leonard O’dell Dickerson and Vesta Verona (Allen) Dickerson. He departed this life Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the Duncan Regional Hospital. Junior was raised in Pooleville attending school at Fox. He married the former Oleta Morgan and they were blessed with three children, Beverly, Charles and Jeff. Junior worked as a lease operator for Tenneco from them at the age of 55. Oleta preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 1977. Junior continued to reside in Pooleville and later married Jane Ledbetter in 1980. They lived together for many years residing in Poolevile and also resided at Lake Humphrey near Duncan. Junior always enjoyed having cattle and he loved his dogs especially Blue and Spot. Jane preceded him in death in May of 2000. Also preceding him were his parents and a sister Thelma. Survivors include his daughter, Beverly Dickerson of Oklahoma City; sons, Dr. Charles Dickerson and wife Kathy of Duncan and Jeffery Dickerson and wife Kelly of Pooleville; sister, Linda Bayliss of Duncan; grandchildren, Kirk, Jade, Dillon, Sidney and Charles; numerous nieces and nephews and other family. A reception will follow at the Senior Citizens Center of Ratliff City.
