Leonard Irvin Pollock, born May 6th, 1932, in Wayne County NC, left this world peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 after a long illness. Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Willie Leroy Pollock and his mother, Unity Mae Pollock. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Leroy Pollock, Donald Pollock, Marvin Pollock, Roland Pollock and Ronald Pollock and preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Sykes, Mavis Suggs and Jean Bennett. Leonard is survived by Lori Pollock Carver, his niece that he has lived with for a couple of years and her husband, Aaron, along with many more nieces and nephews. Uncle Leonard loved all his nieces and nephews like his own and was known as “Good Old Uncle Leonard”. Leonard worked many years at O’Berry Center as a Cook and loved his job very much. He also served two years in the Army National Guard. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Friday, July 26, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will greet friends in the hour prior to the service at Seymour Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Community Health and Hospice for the wonderful care you provided Uncle Leonard during his illness.
