Leon Williams Jackson, Tennessee Mr. Leon Williams, age 91, departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Home in Humboldt, Tennessee. He was born on October 21, 1927 in Gibson County, Tennessee to the late Joe Howard Williams and Elease Sanders Williams. Mr. Leon was an Army Veteran who served in World War II and the Korean War. In addition to his parents, Leon is preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Jo Young Williams; two sons, Danny Paul Williams and Jerry Neal Williams; two brothers, Charles H. Williams and Emmett Williams; and one sister, Jean Ford. He is survived by his son, Michael Lynn Williams of Decaturville; daughter, Leita Beth Wilson of Decaturville; two brothers, Murray Williams of Jackson and Johnny Williams of Jackson; and two sisters, Dorothy Witherspoon of Jackson and Betty Jo Ringold of Jackson. Other survivors include several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a very dear friend, James Faulkner. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday July 5, 2019 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour.
