Lenard’s Obituary Lenard was born on April 4, 1947 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Harold and Valarie (Pixler) Maaske. He graduated from Central High School. Lenard was married to Barbara White. They had one child. Lenard later was united in marriage to Anna Margaret “Cookie” Jones on July 25, 1983 and they had four children. Lenard joined the United States Army in 1968 where he served 6 years during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Bartlett Coop for 12 years, the City of Bartlett for 12 years, and worked for Walmart for 12 and a half years in Round Rock, TX, which is where he retired from. Lenard was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and was privileged to be a Hawkeye football parent. Lenard is survived by his wife Anna Margaret Maaske; two daughters Jodi Maaske- Isbell and her husband Buddy Isbell of Slaton, TX and Jocqueline Letha Atkins-Carter of Red Oak, TX. Three sons Eric Jones of Euless, TX, Norris Atkins of Austin, TX, and Plez Atkins III of Hempstead, TX. 10 grandchildren Destiney Jones, Kevon Muller, Jelaine Jones, Jaxon Jones, Nadia Crawford, Nia Carter, Kaneshia Atkins- Kelley (husband- Bethel), Darius Anderson, Kristin Isbell, Kassi Isbell and 5 great grandchildren. One brother Will Maaske and his wife Terry of Jefferson, South Dakota, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and three brothers. Read More
