Lelah Raye Strabbing, age 63, of Spring Lake passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at home. She was born August 17, 1955, to Edward B. and Virginia M. (Blake) Wittevrongel, and she married John Richard Strabbing on February 14, 1981 in Utah. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2018. Lelah was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Spring Lake High School in 1973 and retired from Radiology Muskegon PC, as a medical office personnel. Lelah loved reading, animals, music, playing piano, horrible puns, and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her four children: Lauren Mitchell of Spring Lake, Staff Sgt. Jeremy (Amy) Strabbing of Georgia, John Richard Strabbing II of Spring Lake, and Staff Sgt. Jordan (Heather) Strabbing of Georgia; six grandchildren; sister, Kelly Chapman; mother-in-law, Joan Strabbing; sisters-in-law, Joy Strabbing and Janice Rosales; brothers-in-law, Jack Strabbing and Jerold Strabbing, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Kinney. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (18975 168th Ave. Spring Lake, MI 49456). Friends may meet the family from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, at The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services 213 E. Savidge St., Spring Lake, MI 49456.
