Funeral services for Miss Laura Elizabeth Snodgrass, 87 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, July 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Rob Wheeler will officiate. Private interment will be at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Laura passed away Monday, July 15, 2019. She was born May 2nd, 1932 in Cookeville to the late James Horace Snodgrass, and Laura May Hunter. She was a lifelong resident of Cookeville, graduating from Central High School in 1951 and becoming an Insurance Agent in March of 1956 at Carlen-McCauly Insurance. Laura was friendly and outgoing. Many who knew her affectionately call her princess. She enjoyed being a member of The Cookeville Pilot Club since joining the club in 1975. She enjoyed volunteering at the Cookeville Animal Shelter and volunteering in family support groups for Habitat for Humanity. She was a longtime member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church and was a member of the Bible Focus Class. She is survived by love and support of her church family, coworkers, and other dear friends. Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (931)526-6111.
