Kenny W. Nix September 07, 1961 – July 12, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation Kenny W. Nix, 57, of Troy, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 12, 2019 in Troy. He was born on Sept. 7, 1961 in Troy, MO to J.D. and Hazel (Hayes) Nix. Kenny attended the local schools along with his four siblings. After his formal schooling, he began working and kept working hard up until his passing. He had been a dedicated employee of Mr. Friday’s Trucking as a tire repairman. Helping others was second nature to him; it was in his DNA. Kenny loved his children: Whitney, Trittany, Erica, Derick, Kendra and Kayla. He was a loving and caring father to his children and always wanted the very best for them. If it was possible to help them in anyway, he was always there for them. Serving as a volunteer fireman meant so much to him. When the alarm sounded, he quickly made his way to the fire dept. to help others. His family said that Kenny always put others’ needs before his own. During his spare time, he liked playing softball, bowling, golfing and doing scratchoffs. Sometimes, he would even win and was so proud to let his other family members know of his good luck. Most of all, Kenny will be greatly missed and long remembered by his entire immediate and extended family. Surviving are his father, J.D. Nix; his children: Whitney Nix, Trittany Nix, Erica (Keith) Burbridge, Derick (Rachel) Hunter, Kendra Miller and Kayla Hunter. Kenny is further survived by his adoring five grandchildren: Alexis, Jordon, Jake, Cooper and Sebastin; his three siblings: David Nix, Glenda Dickherber, Patty (Steven) Howarth; his mother-in-law, Betty Roberts; his sisters-in-law, Tammy West, Shelly (Rick) Turee, Connie (Jason) Powell and brothers-in-law, James Roberts and Carl (Kellie) Roberts Jr.; other relatives and friends. Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Nix; his sibling, Murry Nix Sr; his niece, MacKenzie Almond and his father-in-law, Carl Roberts.
