Kenneth Cooper September 18, 1944 – June 30, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Kenneth J. Cooper, 74, passed away at home on June 30, 2019 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on September 18, 1944 in Roanoke, Virginia to Charles R. and Ruby M. (Neighbors) Cooper. Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Survivors include his wife, Janet Cooper, his two sons, Timothy J Cooper of Las Vegas, NV, Joe Cooper of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Athena Cooper of Oklahoma City, OK, Deborah Blackaby of Siloam, AR; three brothers, William Cooper of OH, Eddie Cooper of OH, Roland Cooper of OH; sister, Mary Ann Smida of OH; two grandsons, Justin Andrew Cooper of GA, AJ Dyches of NV; granddaughter, Heather Cooper of MO; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby M Cooper, father, Charles R Cooper, and a brother, Charles R. Cooper, Jr.. The Celebration of Life service for Kenneth Cooper will be held at Patrons Hall, 1110 N. New York Avenue, Alamogordo at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the Flickinger Center for the Performing Arts, 1110 N. New York Avenue, Alamogordo, NM 88310 or Kitty City, 56 Danley Ranch Road, Alamogordo, NM 88310. The Cooper family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O’Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
