Kathleen “Kay” Turner, 78, fornerly of Austin, Indiana passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana Born August 17, 1940 in Jackson Co., IN, she was the daughter of the late Fred Rider and Vivian (Christie) Rider. She married Joseph H Turner on November 9, 1957 . She was a homemaker and a member of Austin Christian Church. Kay enjoyed gardening and flowers, playing euchre with friends and family as well as groups at the old Austin Senior House. Survivors include: Son: Greg (Peggy) Turner, Austin, Indiana; Daughter: Sherry Turner, Austin, Indiana; Brothers: Russell Rider, Scottsburg, Indiana; Lee Rider, Austin, Indiana; and Clyde Rider, Austin, Indiana; Sisters: Roberta Wooten, Austin, Indiana; Helen Povenmire, Texas; and Ruby Miller, Austin, Indiana. and a granddaughter, Summer (Kenneth) Kinville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe, son, Jeffrey and sister, Doris Hudson. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, 7/19/2019 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana with Pastor Dave Huey officiating.
