Mrs. Kathleen M. Trimmel, 84 of Mahoning Valley, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Monday, July 1, 2019 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Trimmel Sr. who passed away in 1989. Born in Tamaqua, Pa. on Wednesday, October 31, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George & Mildred (Greasing) Fisher. She was a graduate of St. Jerome’s High School, Class of 1952 where she was very proud to have been selected as the Valedictorian of her graduating class. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Bell Telephone of Tamaqua as a telephone operator. Mrs. Trimmel was a former member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, Tamaqua, and more recently attended Mass at the parish of St. John XXIII Catholic Church, Tamaqua, Pa. Her late husband, family, and grandchildren were her life. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy A. Matika & her fiance, Robert Mikulski of Lehighton, a son Joseph J. Trimmel Jr. & his wife Donna, of Nesquehoning, 5 grandchildren, Adam Matika and his wife Sarah, Alex Matika, Ally Matika,, Jillian, wife of Ian Horton, Joseph J. Trimmel III, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, George Fisher. Funeral Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105., St. Luke’s Hospice, 777 Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Lehighton, Pa. 18235., or a charity of one’s choice.
