June’s Obituary June Crouch Nixon, 91 of Ashland City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 30, 2019 in Nashville, TN. June was born in Ashland City on April 30, 1928 to the late McKinley and Leonte (Hooper) Crouch. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Earl Nixon, daughter Melanie (Peter) Koptik, of Michigan, brothers Eugene (Caroline) Crouch, Leonard (Wanda) Crouch, sister Janie Foritch, grandchildren Rachael (Tom Freeman) Koptik from Maine, Max Koptik from Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Pamela Nixon, brother Billy Crouch, sisters Dorothy Patton, Doris McQueen and Vivian Brake. June was a teacher in the Cheatham County system for some time, and she spent many hours at her hobby of photography. Private family gathering for June Nixon will be at the Boyd Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:00 till 7:00pm. Public visitation will be Friday August 2nd, 2019 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at the Harpeth Hills Cemetery on Hwy. 100 in Nashville at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in honor of June, be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
