Judith’s Obituary Wood River—Judith Marie “Judy” Schneider, 75, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Christian Hospital Northeast. Born Feb. 21, 1944 in Alton, she was the daughter of John Wilbur and Delphia Evelyn (Inman) Couch. Judy worked as a slitter operator for Olin Corp. for 24 years and was a member of the Westerner Club. She was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed playing poker and dice with her friends. She also was an experienced and skillful shopper, and hopefully Sam’s Club and Walmart will survive the sudden and substantial loss of revenue. Survivors include three daughters, Terri Schneider of Medora, Lisa Schneider of Bethalto, and Jamie (Brent) Pate of Wood River; a son, Jim “J.D.” Schneider of O’Fallon, IL; two grandchildren, Lauren (Taylor) Kneeland and Tanner Pate; two great grandchildren, Jared Pate and Mabrey Kneeland; her dog Sammy and her two cats, Sonny and Digger. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Robbie and Colton Schneider; and two brothers, Bob and Sonny Couch. A memorial visitation will be held at Paynic Home for Funerals on Friday, July 26. from 4 p.m. until services begin at 7 p.m. Please come in St. Louis Cardinal attire.
