Born November 19, 1940 in Morrilton, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Earl Dennis and Cortee Parker. He is survived by his sons, Sheldon of Ft. Worth, Texas, Joseph Jr. (Donna) of Katy, Texas, daughters, Lisa Smart (Triest) of San Antonio, Texas, Angela Norris (Ken) of Savannah, Georgia and Sharon Dennis of Morrilton, one brother James Dennis, one sister, Peggy Jackson, grandchildren, Stephen Dennis, Kaitlin Perera, La Santa Brice, Jasmine Scott, Triest, Jr, Brittany, Jacob, Michelle and Adriana, great-grandchildren, Dominic Perera and Amayah Scott. Funeral service for Mr. Dennis will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at Trinity C.M.E. Church, 402 N. Chestnut St. in Morrilton, Arkansas by Rev. Dickie Good. The body will lie in state from 10:00 -11:00 at the church the day of the funeral. Interment will be in Reed Cemetery, W. 12th St. in Russellville, Arkansas by Wilson & Jarrett Funeral Home of Morrilton.
