He was born March 28 1954, in New York, New York he was the son of Juan and Maria Luisa (Carvallo) Diaz. John recently retired after 35 years of civilian federal service with Tobyhanna. He loved spending time with his family, friends and dogs Duke and Sammy. John is survived by: His loving wife Mercedes of Killeen and sister Annette A funeral mass for John will be held on Friday August 2, 2019, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church 2903 E Rancier Ave, Killeen, TX 76543. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in Johns name be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
