J. Jordan. He departed this life on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at UPMC Hamot Hospital with his niece Ikea Carruthers by his side in Erie, PA. He confessed his faith in Christ at a very young age and joined Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Cartess Jordan of St. Louis, MO, Jawon Baskin of Erie, PA, and Detrel Shivers of Jackson, TN; one daughter, Tea Jordan of St. Louis, MO; four step-children, LaBreia Harrell and Darius Jordan of Union City, TN, Malika and Valeen Baskin of Erie, PA; ten grandchildren, Ciera, Megan, Canya, Carmya, Tiara, James, Tamara, and Lena Jordan, Aubrey and Thalia Shivers; seven sisters, Evangeline (Cookie) Jordan, Carolyn Simpson, Mary, Lavette, Chappie, Deloris, and Mattie Jordan (Roy) Elders; three brothers, Douglas (Myla) Simpson, John W. Simpson and Willie Jordan; two uncles, John (Minnie) Mays and Hayes Jordan; four aunts, Mary Mays, Pearl (Harold) Banks, Patricia Porter and Freddie Mae Jordan; a special friend Sue Baskin; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. His mother, Mattie Fay Simpson; father, F.J. Jordan; son, RaShawn Jordan; grandchild, Camora (Cupcake) Jordan; sister, Sherry Wells; brothers, Vincent Simpson and Benny Jordan all preceded him in death.
