John’s Obituary John F. Cook Jr. was born May 24, 1954 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to the late John F. Cook, Sr., and Kathryn Marie Cook and passed away in Garland, Texas on July 19, 2019. John was raised in Austin and moved to Dallas in 1965. He graduated from Dallas Vocational High School in 1972. John worked many years in the paint industry with his father. He loved to work on cars and learned from Ronnie and Bill Griffith and Charlie Reid. John never met a stranger and he loved to tell stories (and he had lots of stories). He loved this country and he was very patriotic. John loved his Dallas Cowboys. He will be missed by all that knew him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandparents. John is survived by his brothers and sisters in law Earnest and Janice Cook, King and Sharon Cook sisters and brother in law Cynthia and Kenneth Bishop and Avis Mitchell, 11 nephews and nieces, 32 great nephews and great nieces all who loved him dearly. The family will meet with friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Memorial Funeral Chapel where the Funeral Service will commence at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul Ramier and Rev. Paul Polish Officiating. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, Texas. Read More
