Jimmie Gene Pickler, age 73, of Dresden, TN was born on August 24th, 1945 in Fulton, KY to Chester and Ruby Pickler. He was a proud member of the US Army for 32 years, serving in Korea, Germany and Vietnam. He completed his service with the Tennessee National Guard working full time. God called him home, July 28th, 2019, after an illness while at home under hospice care. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruby (Turner) Pickler and a brother Roger Pickler. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy (Turner) Pickler, daughter Alicia Kay (Pickler) Mayo and husband Terry of Humboldt, song Anthony Pickler (Austin) of Murray, KY and sisters Brenda Stafford of Greenfield and Karen Calhoun (Jerry) of Union City. Services were held at Williams Funeral Home in Gleason, TN on Wednesday July 31. A service will be held on Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald, TN at 2:00 PM with burial following in the Graves Cemetery in Linden, TN. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 on the day of service.
