James (Jim) P. Zook October 11, 1953 – July 12, 2019 Jim Zook was born in Seymour, IN on October 11, 1953. He was the only son of the late Jesse and Edna Zook and brother to his two surviving sisters, Anna Ruiz of CA and Sara Wilson of TX. He had one daughter Ali Pappas and was “Grandpa Jim” to 8 grandchildren in CA. Jim went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2019. Jim spent four years in Bogota, Colombia (Loma Linda), a mission base working for Wycliff Bible Translators. He had a gift for playing the guitar and singing, which he did many times for family and friends at weddings and other special events. Jim was a master carpenter where he created many one-of-a-kind works of art. His family and friends were grateful for what he created and will enjoy for many years to come. He was a free spirit, moving around the Country spending time with family and friends and chose to stay in continuous touch with these dear ones. Jim will be dearly missed by his sisters Anna & Sara, as well as his brother-in-law Ralph, a constant Facebook friend, his daughter Ali, 8 grandchildren and his many friends. Memorial Service: August 24, 2019, Visitation at 9:30, Service at 10:45 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin, IN Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Austin, Indiana Celebration of Life: September 28, 2019, 2PM TBD in Orange County, CA In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bethel Camp, where Jim was a camper growing up.
