Jerry’s Obituary Jerry Leon Richardson, 89, passed away on July 10, 2019 unexpectedly. He was born on June 4, 1930 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Leon and Dorothy (Cullins) Richardson. He earned a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He worked in the education field for over 39 years as a teacher and a psychologist at Long Beach and Fontana School Districts. He enjoyed golf, gardening, volunteering as a docent for Citrus park. He loved going to the Riverside Community Flower Show and garden tours. He was a long time member of Westley United Methodist Church in Riverside. Jerry served his country in the United States Army from 1953- 1955 during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged as a CPL and he earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Jerry is survived by his wife Wanda, his sons Craig Richardson of Riverside, Mark Richardson of Oakland, CA, daughters Lori Richardson of Riverside, and Nancy Clements of Riverside, grandchildren Steven, Chris, Matthew, and Nicholas. He also leaves behind his brother Bruce Richardson. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Kandace just a few weeks before him. He will be greatly missed by those he knew and loved.
