Jean B. Young, age 87, went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2019 at Four Oaks Healthcare. She was born in Hawkins County, she spent most of her life in Bristol, VA. Jean was a hard worker and was proud of working with her husband on the farm as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Young; her parents, Patrick Burton and Bessie Trent Burton; sister, O’Dell Garretson; brother, Raymond Burton. She is survived by her nephews, Garry Garretson, David Burton, Chris Burton; sisters-in-law, Annette Burton and Lynda Wiles and husband, Avery. Jean loved her family dearly. A committal service will be announced at a later date. It was her desire to be cremated. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff on Step-Down 3rd floor at Holston Valley Hospital and along with the staff at Four Oaks Healthcare Center, especially for special care given to Jean by nurses Kim Burton and Pam Baines.
