Janice L. Nelson, 73, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 2:45, Monday, July 15th, 2019 while in the company of family members, at McPherson Hospital. Janice was born in Gillette, Wyoming on March 11, 1946, a daughter of George H. and Hazel L. (Allen) Nelson. Through the years Janice owned and operated Shear Expressions in McPherson. Janice enjoyed embroidering, ceramics, sewing and spending time with her family. Janice L. Allen was united in marriage to Donald K. Nelson on Feb. 12, 1965 in Rapid City, South Dakota. She is survived by her husband Donald K. Nelson, of McPherson, Kansas; her son Donald W. Nelson, of Atlanta, Georgia and her sister Sharron Elhaje and her husband Tamim, of Cypress Hill, Texas. She is also survived by 7 – grandchildren Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Arlene D. Allen and a brother Thomas Allen. Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
