James Lamar Hawthorne, age 52, of 2 Mattison Drive, Honea Path, S.C. departed this life Wednesday, May 23, 2019, at the Rainy Hospice House of the Upstate. Born in Anderson County on March 23, 1967 to the late Otto Hawthorne and the late Jessie Rosa Lee Hawthorne. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School. He worked in the Textile Industry during his time of employment. He leaves to cherish fond memories, Sisters, Viola (Jimmy) Hawthorne Arnold of Belton, S.C., Verenna Hawthorne of Honea Path, S.C., Eva Mae Litman of Columbia, S.C., Jackie Elaine Robinson of Greenville, S.C., Sherry (Curtis) Wideman of Anderson, S.C., Alice Simpson of Honea Path, S.C., Debra Miller, Mary (Darrell) Clinkscales, Janice Miller, Margaret Miller, all of Anderson, S.C.; Brothers, Timothy Hawthorne, Danny Hawthorne, and Chris Hawthorne, all of Anderson, S.C. and Artis Hawthorne of Honea Path, S.C. In addition to his parents, one sister, Jackie Miller preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00A.M. at Cedar Groves Baptist Church.
