MCCORDSVILLE – James Keith Anderson, age 49, of McCordsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. He was born in Greenfield on September 17, 1969 to Donald E. Anderson, Jr. and Leslie L. (Shull) Whetsel. He graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 1988. He worked at Kroger in Fishers. Aside from spending time supporting his kids, he enjoyed golfing with friends around the state of Indiana. James is survived by his daughter, Haleigh Marie Anderson of Garrett; son, James Konnor Anderson of Garrett; mother, Leslie Whetsel of Stilesville; sister, Jill (Matt) Fletcher of Stilesville; stepmother, Angie Godbey of Fortville; stepbrothers, Fred (Leslie) Turnell of Fortville, Larry (Pam) Whetsel of Florida, and Richard Whetsel of Noblesville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Anderson, Jr.; son, Connor Eugene Anderson; first wife, Stephanie Marie Anderson; stepbrothers, Ricky Whetsel and Mark Whetsel; and stepfather, Neal Whetsel. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
