Hollie’s Obituary Hollie Green Morris, age 96 of Hiram, KY, entered eternal rest at his residence on Saturday, July 27, 2019. He was born March 29, 1923 to Luther G. and Luria Allen Morris and was a retired coal miner with U.S. Steel. Hollie served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Cumberland Pentecostal Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Hackney Morris; parents, Luther and Luria Morris; son, Marcus A. Morris; brothers, Walker, J.C., Ernie, Edward, Denver, Babe, Charlie and Worley Morris; and sisters, Beulah Collier, Luria King and Thelma Fields. Hollie will be missed by his sons, Dexter G. Morris of Dallax, TX and Hollie Morris, Jr. of Hiram; grandsons, Evan and Ethan Morris; and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2019, in the Chapel of Tri City Funeral Home, 506 Holly Street, Benham, KY between 6 – 8 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at 1 pm in the Chapel with Reverend Michael Blair officiating. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery at Hiram, KY with nephews serving as pallbearers and Military Rites at graveside. Tri City Funeral Home is honored to serve the Morris Family. Read More
