Helen Louise Reyes Onedera, 77, formerly of Millington, TN and recently of Johnson City, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Guam in 1941 to the late Jose Soriano Reyes and Dolores L.G. Cruz Reyes. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Jesus Onedera, brother, Joseph Cruz Reyes, sister-in-law, Carolyn Schneider Reyes, mother-in-law, Carmen Santos Onedera, sister-in-law, Maria Onedera Perez and brother-in-law, Augusto Onedera. Family members left to cherish Helen’s memory include her children: Dolores Stepp, Shiro & Tammy Onedera, and Helen & Kent Wright; her adored grandchildren: Jacob, Madeline, Marie, Andrew, Carmen, Ford, Cole and Cade; her siblings: Jose & Dolly Reyes, Demetrio & Dorothea Reyes, Johnny & Kathrina Reyes, Tommie Ann Reyes, Evelyn & Jesus Cruz, Elizabeth & Joseph Borja, Franklin & Donna Reyes, Dolores Reyes, Ken Reyes and Engracia Cruz Anderson; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will honor Helen’s life during Catholic Mass at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Johnson City, TN with Father Jesus Guerrero-Rodriguez officiating. A Graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shiro Onedera, Kent Wright, Jacob Onedera, Andrew Stepp, Ford Wright, Cole Onedera, Cade Onedera, Franklin Reyes, Joseph Borja and John Ellis.
