Harry Horton Green, 90 of Hemet, California passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019, at home surrounded by family. He was born in Guelph, Ontario Canada on Tuesday, August 28, 1928, and was the son of the late Thomas and Clara Green. Harry was married to the love of his life, Roberta Green for over 40 years. He worked as an Attorney at Law for over 30 years and was also a Presbyterian Minister for over 25 years serving two churches in Canada and three in California. Harry and Roberta travelled the world taking cruises to Asia, Europe and the Caribbean. Harry enjoyed his gardening every year planting tomatoes for their dinner and giving some away during bumper years. He also liked the month of October so he could carve pumpkins. He purchased special tools and was known in the neighborhood for his intricate designs and creativity. Also, during the month of November he would cook his scotch short bread and then in December he participated in the neighborhood Christmas party handing out candy canes to the neighborhood kids. His family describe him as quiet, reserved, having a great sense of humor and family oriented. Preceding in death was his son Eldin Green. Surviving is his wife Roberta Green; daughter Carol Wood ( Steve ); sons David Green ( Guy ) and James Green ( Cindy ); sister Dianne Glassman; grandchildren Michael, Dannielle, Brittany, TJ and Aaron; and 5 great grandchildren.. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Miller-Jones Mortuary Hemet located at 1501 West Florida Avenue Hemet, with a reception to follow in the Ramona Room.
