Mr. Glenn David Cantrell, age 70, of Arab the Grassy Community, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Cantrell was born on September 12, 1948 in Madison county to David Leon Cantrell & Ophelia Swinford Cantrell. He enjoys woodworking and building cabinets, Alabama football and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Mrs. Cantrell is survived by his wife on 49 years Melanie Cantrell; daughters & sons-in-law Christy Cantrell Guyse & Randy, Jackie Cantrell Stephens & David; grandchildren, Blake Guyse, Randall Guyse; sister & brother-in-law, Mitzi Garrett & Jimmy. Preceded in death by his parents, David Leon Cantrell & Ophelia Swinford Cantrell; brother, Ricky Cantrell; sister, Rhonda Tweedy. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. The family will accept friends prior to the service Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m., Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Heartlite Hospice of Scottsboro, 111 East Laurel Street, Scottsboro, AL 35768.
