Gladys Kertis (nee: Frantz) passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. She was born in Bayonne to the late Martha and Ferdinand Frantz and was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Kertis was a devoted member of the Grace Lutheran Church community, serving in various roles throughout her years of service, including as music director. She was also a Sunday school teacher at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a Member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Kertis is survived by her beloved husband, George Kertis; her loving niece, Joyce Patterson, and her husband, George; her cherished nephew, Michael Kimak; her adoring grandniece, Rachel Edmunds and her husband,John; her dear grandnephews, Kertis Patterson and Christopher Kimak and his wife, Stephanie; her beloved Goddaughter, Jane Wodzanowki and her husband, Andrew ; her cherished great grandniece, Rosie; and cherished great grandnephew,Julian. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church at a time to be determined. Donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
