November 19 1947 June 19 2019
Freda Sparks, 71, of Gilmer, was born November 19, 1947, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, to James Alex Hunter and Clorine Adell Lawson Hunter and went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2019, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 23, 2019, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, at McWhorter Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019, 2:00 pm, at the Blanchard Family Property. Though her heart never fully left Eufuala, Oklahoma she was a large part of the Pritchett community for much of her life. From Rabbit’s wonderland of lights to community wide Easter Eggs hunts and serving as a part of the Pritchett Community Committee. Even though we all knew her as bossy, she was the most kind-hearted and caring person to everyone; she never met a stranger. Her home was always the meeting point for wide-spread family and friends. She is survived by her children, Lisa Gaspar, Billy Sparks and Tina Tuel; best friend, Rabbit Davis; brothers, Thomas Hunter, James Hunter and William Blanchard; sister, Lavern Turner, Sandra Miner; life-long friend Bert Mackey; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; as well as numerous friends she considered family. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lesley Hunter; and great granddaughter, Rachel Mauk. “There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you want to pick them from your dreams and hug them.” -Unknown Please visit Freda’s on-line registration book at www.mcwhorterfh.com to leave a memory for the family.
